  • Curling is an opportunity to participate in a physical activity and develop positive social relationships.

  • In curling, a child does not to be bigger, faster, or stronger in order to achieve success.

  • All levels of skill and abilities enjoy success curling.

  • Each of the four players contributes 25% of the team’s effort ~ 100% of the time.

  • Curling is inclusive.  Bullies can learn positive methods of leadership, while others can receive support, acceptance and be offered an environment in which they can thrive.

  • Curling can offer benefits of increased self esteem.

  • Curling can offer competitive sports opportunities for those who choose to pursue them.

The Youth’s Curling Code of Ethics

I will be a good sport.

I will play fairly.

I will respect people and property, on and off the ice.

I will not put down, criticize or bully others.

I will take the consequences if I behave inappropriately.

I will tell someone if I make a mistake.
